Melbourne Symphony Orchestra 

Australian Chamber Orchestra’s Satu Vänskä joins Queensland Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Umberto Clerici for a wonderful program that sees the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performing the music of child prodigy Felix Mendelssohn alongside that of the (then) living legend he looked up to: the great Ludwig van Beethoven.

Emma Memma – Boop and Twirl Tour 

ARIA award-winning children’s musical spectacular Emma Memma is heading to Ballarat on her big, bright, orange Butterfly Bus with her Boop and Twirl Tour.

Marcia Hines – Still Shining Concert Tour

Australia’s legendary musical treasure, with a career spanning five amazing decades, will perform her ‘Still Shining’ concert repertoire. This two-and-a-half-hour musical extravaganza is a celebration of Marcia’s career

Transition from Tyranny: Establishing local government on the Ballarat Goldfields, 1851-1856

Graeme Cartledge explores the advent of municipal government in colonial Victoria, positioning it as the earliest form of democracy in Australia.

Art Gallery of Ballarat

Clarice Beckett, Paintings from the National Collection 

This exhibition presents an intimate, rarely seen collection by one of the most original artists of early 20th century Australia — Clarice Beckett.

Diokno Pasilan, Imprint 

For his solo exhibition Imprint, Ballarat based artist Diokno Pasilan has created an installation examining memory in relation to belonging. Prints and sculptures are made from materials which draw from Pasilan’s childhood memories of growing up in a boat-making community in the Philippines.
