CitySafe Taxi Rank

The CitySafe Taxi Rank provides a safe taxi pickup location close to the entertainment precinct with two security guards, good lighting and CCTV coverage. The CitySafe Taxi rank service is funded by the City of Ballarat and supported by Victoria Police.

• Location: Corner of Sturt and Lydiard Streets 
• Operating Hours: Saturday and Sunday mornings from 1am – 5am 
  It is also in operation on some public holidays and for some local events.

Over the Christmas and new year period, the City of Ballarat and Victoria Police want to ensure everyone can enjoy the festive season and get home safely. Guards will be on site for extended hours will be as follows:

• Location: Corner of Sturt and Lydiard Streets
• Operating Hours: Friday 20 December to Wednesday 1 January, Saturday and Sunday mornings, 11pm – 5am

Additional days of operation:

• Thursday 19 December, 11pm – 5am
• Tuesday 24 December, 11pm – 5am
• Tuesday 31 December, 11pm – 5am
