ROAD CLOSURE
Cuthberts Road between the Skipton Rail Trail and Lakeland Drive (new road) will be closed for a three-month period commencing on 10 January 2022.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY AT LAKE WENDOUREE
The City of Ballarat invites all residents and visitors to view a Fireworks display at Lake Wendouree on Sunday 16 January. The 15-minute fireworks display will commence at approximately 9:30pm (weather permitting).
Public access to the isthmus at the end of the rowing course will be restricted from 9am on Friday 14 January until 11:59pm on Sunday 16 January 2022 to enable the safe launch of the fireworks.
Lake Wendouree will be closed for all waterway activities from 3pm until 11:59pm on 16 January 2022.
Residents are encouraged to take care of their pets during the fireworks display and keep them indoors if they are likely to be spooked by loud noise.
There will be no parking restrictions around Lake Wendouree, however, please take care with the anticipated increased volume of traffic in the precinct.

SUMMER SUNDAYS LIVE MUSIC IN THE BALLARAT BOTANICAL GARDENS
The Summer Sundays free concert series will continue in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens on Sunday 16, 23 and 30 January 2022 from 4 to 8pm.
Celebrating an eclectic mix of music genres this Sunday 16 January will feature modern rock icon Adalita, best known as front woman for multi-ARIA Award nominated band Magic Dirt, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, D’Arcy Spiller and Ballarat’s own Tim Currie.
In addition to the live music, a selection of Ballarat’s best food and beverage vendors will be onsite each week, alongside the pop-up Garden Bar serving local wine, craft beer and cider for patrons 18+.
Residents and visitors are welcome to bring a rug and picnic for a relaxed afternoon of entertainment.
This is a COVID-safe event and patrons will be required to check-in via the Service Victoria app.
