Integrated transport planning
Ballarat’s population is growing quickly and we need to future-proof the city’s transport network.
The Ballarat Integrated Transport Action Plan shows what the City of Ballarat can do to improve the transport systems we own or manage, including footpaths, bicycle paths and trails, and local roads.
It also includes advocacy steps we can take to ask the Victorian Government for improvements to parts of the transport system it owns or manages, including major roads, freeways and highways, bus services, and train lines.
The final Integrated Transport Action Plan was adopted by Council at the 12 August 2020 Council meeting.
The final plan has been strongly shaped by community feedback. Throughout the project, 375 individual written submissions were received, and more than 300 site-specific issues were identified.
