Summer Sundays 2022 free concert series ends Sunday
Ballarat’s favourite free live-music event Summer Sundays wraps up for another year this Sunday 4-8pm in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
The Ballarat community will no doubt embrace the opportunity to enjoy one last Sunday afternoon of live music in one of Ballarat’s most picturesque settings.
“What a fantastic experience our Summer Sundays music festival has been so far,” said City of Ballarat Deputy Mayor, Cr Amy Johnson.
“We have been entertained with some outstanding Australian musical talent, emerging talent and local artists over the past three weeks and this weekend will be no different.
Summer Sundays this weekend will see the very cool Soul Movers featuring legendary original Red Wiggle, Murray Cook, Melbourne’s cosmic-country-rocker, Ben Mastwyk and His Millions, our very own and very talented Grove, as well as another outstanding local talent, Shadow Feet.
“It’s a great way to end January and I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the last Summer Sundays session for the year in the Botanical Gardens and share some great musical entertainment with your family and friends,” Cr Johnson said.
In addition to the free live music, a selection of Ballarat’s best food and beverage vendors will be onsite, alongside the pop-up Garden Bar highlighting some of our region’s best wine, spirit, and beer producers.
As the Summer Sundays concert series comes to an end for 2022, locals and visitors are encouraged to head to visitballarat.com.au to see what else is on over Summer.
Take a walk down the Summer Laneways in the Ballarat CBD or grab dinner in town before listening to the Boom Box in the Sturt Street Gardens. There is plenty to enjoy in Ballarat this Summer.
