SONIKA Records 2020 all-ages album launch party
Ballarat Youth Services is proud to present the SONIKA Records program 2020 all-ages album launch, a Victorian State government funded program through Department of Health and Human Services and FReeZa.
The album includes tracks from local music artists and bands aged 12-25 to help young Ballarat artists to kick-start their music career.
In 2019 SONIKA Records idea came about following the announcement the Push Start Comp [state-wide battle of the bands] would not continue.
SONIKA came up with the idea for Sonika Records to fill this space and after the successful outcomes of the 2019 program, Sonika decided to continue and add this to their annual offering within their SONIKA program of events and opportunities to young musicians in our community.
Despite the many lockdowns and restrictions of 2020, the SONIKA team were able to creatively adapt the program to keep it running over the course of the year through a pandemic.
The 2020 album includes music from local artists including:
- Loving Elara
- Lil Jul
- PEACEMAKER
- Lachness
- Cassles
- Tommy J
- Volt Jolt
- Lotus Eyes
- Izzy Farrah
After a long year, the time has come for SONIKA to showcase to the community Ballarat’s top emerging musicians of 2020.
Join us on 1 April from 6:15pm – 9:15pm and catch live performances and official releases of each act’s recorded single and music video clip on the big screen at the Regent Cinema.
