NYANINYUK WIND FARM
Community Hub launched
ACCIONA have recently launched an online community hub for the ‘Nyaninyuk Wind Farm’ project. This is an interactive website where locals can register for updates, ask questions and provide feedback.
Drop-in sessions scheduled
There are three public scheduled drop-in sessions in May. The ACCIONA team will answer questions and record community feedback about various elements of the proposed project.
The sessions are on at:
- Waubra: Wednesday 11 May, 5pm-7pm, Waubra Football Netball Club
- Evansford: Thursday 12 May, 5pm-7pm, Evansford Community Centre.
- Clunes: Saturday 14 May, 10am-1pm, Fraser Street, outside IGA

ROAD CLOSURES
Tram Track Works
With tram track works underway around Lake Wendouree, the lakeside, south-bound lane will be closed to traffic from Carlton Street through to the Forrest Street roundabout from 4 April until 30 April.
Traffic management arrangements are in place.
2022 ANZAC Day commemorative service – Monday 25 April
The following traffic alterations will be in place for Ballarat Central and Sebastopol;
- Sturt Street Sunday 24 April
Eastbound side reduced to one lane between Lyons Street and Dawson Street, from 1pm Sunday 24 April until 4pm Monday 25 April.
- Sturt Street Monday 25 April
Sturt Street closed from Dawson Street to Raglan Street to all traffic between 4am and 4pm.
During closure, the following additional roads will be impacted:
- Lyons Street South closed between Dana Street and Sturt Street - access for local traffic via Dana Street only.
- Lyons Street North closed between Sturt Street and Mair Street - access for local traffic via Mair Street only. Traffic detours - Dana Street and Mair Street.
- Sturt Street intersecting roads from Raglan Street to Doveton Street Monday 25 April
At 10.30am the march will head eastbound along Sturt Street to Doveton Street and return westbound along Sturt Street to the Cenotaph, concluding in Lyons Street South.
Sturt Street and all intersecting streets will be progressively closed from Raglan Street to Doveton Street from 10.15am and will re-open as soon as the march passes.
- Sebastopol Monday 25 April
The Midland Hwy (A300) will be closed from Victoria Street to Walker Street in both directions to all traffic from 8.15am to 10.30am. Traffic detours will be in place.
