PLAN FOR BALLARAT FORUM
The Victorian Government recently released its Plan for Victoria, alongside significant changes to all Victorian Planning Schemes, including a new townhouse and low-rise code.
Join us for an important community forum, which will include:

A presentation on the key elements of the State Government’s Plan for Victoria

Discussion about changes to the Planning Scheme, including how it will affect residential growth and development in the City of Ballarat

A panel discussion
The forum will take place on Monday, 14 April, 4 – 6.30pm at the Eureka Centre, 102 Stawell Street South, Eureka. The event is free to attend however you must register your attendance via the City of Ballarat website.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE DUE TO WORKS ON GILLIES ROAD
Upgrade works on Gillies Road, between Jubilee Road and Schwarz Road, Bald Hills are now underway. There will be a temporary closure of this section of the road during construction for about six weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes where possible. Electronic signage boards are in place to advise motorists of the works. Traffic management is in place. Detours are being directed via Jubilee Road and Schwarz Road.
The City of Ballarat has notified directly impacted residents.

DV Safe Phone is a not-for-profit organisation that collects and repurposes mobile phones for domestic violence (DV) registered front line services. These 'safe phones' are a vital link to emergency services, support networks and loved ones.

LAKE BURRUMBEET CLOSED
The City of Ballarat has temporarily closed Lake Burrumbeet for all uses following the detection of a blue-green algal bloom at the lake.
As a precaution, all water-based activities, including swimming, wading, fishing and boating are prohibited until further notice.
Water affected by blue green algae can be unsuitable for drinking. No stock or pets should be allowed to make contact with or drink the water.
