SPEED LIMIT CHANGES – GREENHALGHS ROAD

Reduced speed limits will soon be implemented along Greenhalghs Road.

The speed limit in the residential area of Winter Valley will be reduced to 60km/h. The speed limit of 100km/h from the residential area through to Sago Road, in Bunkers Hill, will be reduced to 80km/h.

With increased traffic movement in the area, Greenhalghs Road has been the site of several accidents in recent years. The speed reductions are designed to improve road safety.

The new 80km/h speed zone is consistent with other connecting roads in the area, such as Finchs Road, Sago Hill Road and Bells Road, which are now all 80km/h speed zones.

The City of Ballarat received authorisation from the Department of Transport and Planning to introduce the new reduced speed limits.
