ROAD CLOSURES  

Armstrong Street South Temporary Road Closure - Ice Skating Rink - Ballarat Winter Festival  

As part of the Ballarat Winter Festival, a pop-up ice-rink will be installed in the heart of the city, located in Armstrong Street South between the Town Hall and Myer.   

Armstrong Street South from Sturt Street to the rear of the Town Hall will be temporarily closed for the ice-rink, including set-up and dismantle, from 6am on Tuesday 14 June until 9pm on Saturday 23 July 2022.   

Please note:  

Access to Bath Lane will be maintained.  

Access to the Myer loading dock will be unimpeded as delivery vehicles will be able to access the loading dock via Dana Street (not Sturt Street).   

The Ballarat Information Centre long vehicle / caravan parking at rear (south) of the Town Hall will be temporarily relocated to the front of the Town Hall in Sturt Street.  

The Taxi Rank outside Myer will be temporarily relocated to two angled ¼ hour car parks out the front of the Central Square Post Office, Phoenix Mall, Armstrong Street South.

NAMING PROPOSAL OPEN FOR PUBLIC COMMENT 

The City of Ballarat has prepared the following proposal to name a road within the Municipality.  

The proposed name is in bold italics.  

NP 236 - Name an unnamed road in Lake Gardens – Kunuwarra Drive.

COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN AVAILABLE FOR COMMMENT ON MYSAY 

The City of Ballarat Draft Community Infrastructure Plan (CIP) guides Council's planning and delivery of community infrastructure and is now available for comment on mysay.ballarat.vic.gov.au 

The Plan responds to increasing demand for community infrastructure in Ballarat with the city’s significant growth in population. Community input is critical to help guide the City of Ballarat planning process. 

Community members can review and provide feedback on the Draft CIP from 26 May - 17 June 2022.
