Traffic Information
Cenotaph, Sturt Street:
For the safety of participants and all road users, the following traffic alterations will be installed for Sturt Street between 10am to 12noon:
- Sturt Street eastbound will be closed between Lyons Street and Dawson Street from approximately 10am until 12noon.
Detours in place via Mair Street - Sturt Street westbound will remain open, but limited to one-lane traffic with speed limits reduced to 40km
- Traffic will not be able to cross Sturt Street via the Lyons Street intersection in either direction.
Short delays are expected; therefore, all road users are reminded to approach the area with caution and follow the direction of traffic marshals and police.
Pedestrian access to shops and services will remain accessible.

NOTICE OF ROADWORKS FOR LEARMONTH STREET
Traffic flow and safety improvements are being made to the Learmonth Street and Cuthberts Road intersection and Learmonth Street and Sturt Street intersection.
Works are now underway with speed and lane diversions in place in both directions between Sturt Street and Cuthbert Road.
A full road closure for Learmonth Street, from the Cuthberts Road intersection to the Sturt Street/Arch of Victory roundabout, began Wednesday 23 October and are expected to be completed 5pm Friday 25 October, weather permitting. Detours will be in place.
The Sturt Street/Arch of Victory roundabout will remain open to motorists to through-traffic along Sturt Street.
The works are expected to be completed in November, with the activation of traffic signals to take place in the coming months.
This project is being funded by the State Government and delivered by the City of Ballarat.

BRIDGE MALL REDEVELOPMENT ROADWORKS
The City of Ballarat is installing bluestone kerb in Grenville Street as part of works to create the new entrance into the Bridge Mall.
While the works are taking place, Grenville Street is temporarily closed from Sturt Street to Curtis Street.
The works are due to be completed in November. Traffic management and detours are in place.
Local businesses are open. Please continue to support all Bridge Mall, Curtis Street and surrounding Sturt Street businesses.
NOTICE OF WORKS
Works to the footpath alongside the wetlands at Zoo Drive in the North Gardens Reserve, opposite Lake Wendouree, will take place from late October to early November, weather permitting.
The 115m of footpath improvement works will raise the height of the footpath, preventing the overflow that takes place across the path and into the North Gardens Reserve during periods of wet weather.
The footpath network within the wetlands will remain open and accessible to the community.
Pedestrian management will be in place.
