ROAD WORK UPDATE

Docwra Street closure

Docwra Street will be closed from Albert Street from 31 March until 30 June.

This closure is to fast-track watermain and drainage replacement, kerb construction and asphalting works.

Docwra Street will remain open to foot traffic, with motorists to detour along Magpie Road to access Docwra Street, including Magpie Primary School.

Traffic management will be in place on the Midland Highway.

Albert Street duplication works

Drainage and new pavement will be under construction along the eastern side of Albert Street between March and June and will take around 10 months to complete.

During this phase of construction Albert Street will be closed to Westcliffe Crescent from March 22 until June 30 - local traffic to detour via Morgan Street.

Two-way traffic flow will be maintained along Albert Street during construction, and traffic management will be in place during works.

General access for residents will be maintained during this work, however, crews will need to temporarily close driveways for around one week to allow installation of drainage, curbing and fresh pavement.

Travel delays are expected during works, particularly during peak periods. If travelling through these areas, plan ahead to avoid delays or consider taking an alternative route.
