ROAD CLOSURE – ICE RINK

The ice rink build will begin on Monday 17 June 2024 in readiness for the Ballarat Winter Festival.

Armstrong Street South (between Myer and Town Hall) will be closed from Monday 17 June until Friday 26 July.  

Detours will take place along Bath Lane.

The Ballarat Information Centre long vehicle and caravan parking at rear (south) of the Town Hall will be temporarily relocated to the front of the Town Hall in Sturt Street.

The Taxi Rank outside Myer will be temporarily relocated to the front of the Central Square Post Office, Phoenix Mall, Armstrong Street South.

BALLARAT PRIDE MONTH – JUNE

Join us for a celebration of LGBTIQA+ people with a variety of events in and around Ballarat during June.

ROAD WORKS – RIPON STREET SOUTH AND URQUHART STREET INTERSECTION

Works to construct a roundabout at the Ripon Street South and Urquhart Street intersection in Newington are underway.

The works will improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, with new traffic islands, separated cycling and pedestrian paths, line-marking and signage.

Detours and traffic management will be in place throughout the works. Traffic delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes where possible. Works are expected to be completed end of July, weather permitting.
