NOTICE OF WORKS

Leith Street in Redan is now closed to traffic until mid-June.  Traffic management is in place with local detours along Darling Street and Yarrowee Parade. Alternatively, please use Hill Street and Grant Street.  Formosa Nursery is open with access via Campbells Crescent.  

The road is being reconstructed as part of a $1.19 million upgrade. 

AFL | WESTERN BULLDOGS AT MARS STADIUM  

The Western Bulldogs v Adelaide Crows match on Saturday 20 May 2023 will commence at 2.10pm at Mars Stadium.  

Gates open at 12.40pm, Ceremony starts (Welcome to Country) at 2.03pm, First Bounce at 2.10pm, Full-time at 4.17pm and Maccas Kick2Kick from 4.25pm  

For the second year in a row the Ballarat clash will take place during Sir Doug Nicholls Round, the AFL’s two-week celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and its contribution to football.  

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.  

Ballarat Bus Shuttle  

From 11:30am, the shuttle bus service will be ready to depart Ballarat Station Bus Terminal and travel to Mars Stadium for patrons.  

From 3:30pm, the return shuttle bus service will be ready to depart Mars Stadium and drop passengers off in Lydiard St North outside the train station, a second drop off will be made in Sturt Street opposite the Ballarat Town Hall. 

LEVEL CROSSING WORKS  

V/Line is carrying out maintenance and infrastructure upgrade works around Ballarat Station, with noise and additional lighting at some times throughout the day from Wednesday 17 May to Friday 2 June. 

Sections of Lydiard Street North and Scott Parade will be closed at times and detours will be in place. Please allow extra time when driving through the area. 

The following level crossings will be closed for a full day: 

• Doveton Street North on 18 May

• Creswick Road on 19 May

• MacArthur Street on 20 May and 

• Burnbank Street on 21 May.
