       PET OF THE WEEK - STRYDER  

 

Stryder - a big, happy puppy who loves to have fun! He has lots of energy and loves to play with his friends and loves people. He will do great in an active home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and attention. With patience and consistency, Stryder will make a loyal, loving addition to any household.

COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS  

 

Applications are now open for the next round of the City of Ballarat’s Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP). 

 

Local not-for-profit incorporated organisations, groups and associations are encouraged to apply for funding, which is designed to provide community benefit in terms of environmental sustainability; healthy, connected and inclusive communities; and community capacity building. 

 

Funding opportunities ranging from $500 to $20,000 are available and applications will be endorsed by the CIGP Committee, and representatives from local community organisations and community members. 

 

Applications will remain open until 9am on Friday, 15 September.

Go to www.ballarat.vic.gov.au/grants and apply through the online portal called SmartyGrants.   

 

This round a translation service has been implemented that allows applicants to apply in 14 different languages including:  Chinese (Simplified), Arabic, French, Indonesian, Khmer, Portuguese, Sinhala, Spanish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese

Works have commenced on the Bridge Mall redevelopment; however all Bridge Mall businesses remain open for business, and we encourage you to continue to shop local and support your favourite businesses in the mall during the redevelopment.  

 

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST OPEN - PRIME MINISTER’S BUST  

The City of Ballarat is beginning the search for the next artist to contribute to the famed Prime Ministers Avenue in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. 

An Expression of Interest inviting public artists to apply to sculpt the bust of the Hon Scott Morrison MP, 30th Prime Minister of Australia, has now been released.
