NATURE STEWARDS PROGRAM REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO 21 SEPTEMBER
The City of Ballarat is partnering with Outdoors Victoria to facilitate the first intake for the Nature Stewards program.
Registration is open to anyone aged 18 years or over.
The program features 10 x weekly 3-hour class sessions plus four or five 4-hour field trips after some of the classes (dates TBC).
Sessions will be held at the Lucas Community Hub on Saturday mornings from 1 October to 10 December, excluding the Melbourne Cup long weekend, generally between 9.30am–12.30pm, with additional field trips held on Saturday afternoons.
Places are limited and bookings are essential.
Cost: City of Ballarat residents $90, non-City of Ballarat residents $350 or $90 concession for full time students, healthcare card or pension card holders.

This Girl Can Week is all about encouraging more women and girls to give physical activity a go or return to exercise after a break.
This Girl Can Week Ballarat will include a series of programs, inspired events and activations from 12 to 18 September 2022.

2022/23 COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS OPEN
Round 1 of the City of Ballarat Community Impact Grant Program for the 2022/23 financial year is open for applications until 5pm Monday 26 September 2022.
The applications are available for local not-for-profit incorporated organisations, groups, or associations. Non-incorporated groups may also apply if they have an auspice relationship with an incorporated group.
The program provides up to $20,000 in funding to support community groups and organisations to run projects, programs, events, and other activities or to buy necessary equipment to promote community outcomes in:
Environmental sustainability
Healthy, connected and inclusive communities
Community capacity building

Ratepayers are reminded if they wish to pay their rates in instalments, payment is required by 30 September 2022.
Please be aware that payments not received by the due date, whether by post, at an agency or in person, will be considered to be payable by 15 February 2023.
