FEDERATION UNIVERSITY ROAD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – ROAD CLOSURES 6-10 JANUARY 2023 

Road closures will be in place for the upcoming Road National Championships event as below: 

       Criterium - Friday 6^th Jan Stuart St, Ballarat - 6:30am – 10:00pm 

• Sturt St between Raglan St and Grenville St  

Road Race - Sat 7^th and Sun 8^th Jan, Buninyong – Midnight Friday to 9.00pm Sunday  

• Warrenheip Street

• Mt Buninyong Road 
• Yendon #1 Road  
• Yankee Flat Rd 
• Gear Ave 
• Geelong Rd 

Time Trial - Mon 9^th and Tues 10^th Jan, Federation University – Monday 8.00am – 6.00pm

Pedestrian access to shops & services is available during these altered traffic conditions. Speed restrictions and some short delays are expected.

SUMMER SUNDAYS – FREE LIVE MUSIC IN BOTANICAL GARDENS 

The Summer Sundays FREE live music concert series is proudly presented by the City of Ballarat.  

The concert series runs on Jan 8, 15, 22, 29 from 4 to 8pm in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.   

2023 features an exceptional line-up of local, emerging, and big-name musical talent.   

In addition to the live music, a selection of Ballarat’s best food and beverage vendors will be onsite to choose from.   

The Garden Bar showcases some of our region’s best wine, spirit, and beer producers.  

Sunday 15 January will see a Fireworks spectacular at Lake Wendouree with the 15-minute show launching at 9:30pm.

CITY OF BALLARAT CHRISTMAS CLOSURES 2022  

 City of Ballarat offices and Customer Service – closed from Christmas Day, reopening Tuesday 3 January 2023 at 8.30am 

• Ballarat Information Centre – Closed Christmas Day, reopening 10am Boxing Day 
• Waste services – Kerbside waste, recycling and green waste collections will take place as per usual collection days. The Ballarat Transfer Station will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
