The Planning Scheme Amendment, sites for permanent heritage overlays
The City of Ballarat’s officer recommendation was to request that the Planning Delegated Committee initiate an amendment to the Ballarat Planning Scheme to introduce five site specific Heritage Overlays.

Councillors voted in support of the recommendation.
Interim Heritage Overlay, Holmes Street
The City of Ballarat’s officer recommendation was that the Planning Delegated Committee advise the Minister for Planning that 7 – 19 Holmes Street Ballarat Central has been identified to be of local heritage significance and apply an Interim Heritage Overlay.
The recommendation also stated that the Planning Delegated Committee seek authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare a Planning Scheme Amendment to apply permanent heritage control.
Councillors voted in support of the recommendation.
