Mayor’s Message - Friday 8 September 2023

This week we launched phase two consultation of the Draft Public Toilet Strategy. Public toilets are a basic human need and are essential to our community infrastructure.

Over the past few months, we’ve been seeking feedback from our community to better understand how we can improve our public toilets.  

We’ve heard that cleanliness, safety, location and accessibility are most important to you.  

From that we have developed a draft strategy for you to review. This strategy will help guide the location, renewal and upgrades of our city’s public toilets.

The City of Ballarat has set out a vision for the city’s public toilets. The City of Ballarat will provide high quality, inclusive and accessible public toilets that are safe, clean, and cater to diverse community needs.

Prior to finalising the Draft Strategy, we want to hear from you. Feedback closes 5pm on Sunday 24 September.    

You can fill out a short survey and find out more information at mysay.ballarat.vic.gov.au. You can also pick-up a printed copy of the survey at City of Ballarat sites, including Customer Service and Ballarat Libraries.
