Community feedback will ensure we make the best decision for all which is why we have an important consultation launching this week for our community’s valued input.
We will be asking you about the City of Ballarat’s ourballarat magazine, which is a quarterly publication delivered to all households in Ballarat. The 16-page publication is available in both print and online formats.
With 80 services and 120 programs, the City of Ballarat contributes to the local community in many ways and the ourballarat magazine is designed to capture and communicate some of the highlights for our community.
It features local people and places, with a range of news, articles and event information to keep residents and ratepayers up to date with our services, programs, initiatives and events.
We are seeking input on several key aspects of the ourballarat magazine, including content, format, length and overall direction.
The consultation will involve an online MySay survey and reply-paid survey postcards inserted into the spring edition of the ourballarat magazine, which you should receive in your letterboxes in the coming weeks.
Focus groups will also be held following the survey, to better understand the community’s ourballarat needs.
If you’re interested in participating in the focus group, please let us know either when filling out the survey or email us at communications@ballarat.vic.gov.au.
We urge the community to engage with us to let us know how they engage with our quarterly update.
We want to ensure that the magazine meets the needs of our local residents, which is why I’d encourage you to have your say on the direction of the magazine going forward.
- Mayor Cr Des Hudson
