Mayor’s Message - Friday 19 January 2024
This year is gearing up to be another busy year in the city as we continue to deliver a better Ballarat for our community.
2024 will see projects either well underway or soon to be completed across the city like the Bridge Mall redevelopment, the Airport runway extension, the Ballarat Library redevelopment, Her Majesty’s Theatre revitalisation and the landscaping of the Fernery to name a few.
Construction is progressing well on several road works, such as the roundabout on Eureka and Fussel Street and Urquhart Street and Ripon Street South.
As well as the upcoming improvements at the Talbot and Rubicon intersection, Dyson Drive and Coltman Plaza intersection, asphalting upgrades at Macarthur and Doveton Streets, Chisholm and Lydiard Streets and more.
This year will also see further community engagement on some important strategies, such as the Open Space Strategy, Footpath Construction Strategy and the Airport Strategic Masterplan, to name a few.
