Hopes that Planned ‘Community Conversations’ can be re-scheduled
Three Community Conversations in the Park as part of Council’s our Ballarat: Our Future consultation process on Tuesday, Februray 23 at Ballarat East, Alfredton and Buninyong have been cancelled to comply with current COVID limitations on public gatherings.
The City of Ballarat will consider re-scheduling these three sessions pending advice from the Victorian Government in relation to public gathering arrangements into the future.
At this stage, three engagement sessions planned at Brown Hill, Miners Rest and Delacombe on Tuesday, March 2 will go ahead, but will also be subject to the lifting of numbers allowed at public gatherings.
In lieu of face-to-face sessions this week, the City is providing an option for people to complete an online submission on its MySay page or to email their thoughts and ideas to communityengagement@ballarat.vic.gov.au.
Updates on sessions will be available on the MySay page. Members of the public are encouraged to check the website for updates before attending venues.
The community face-to-face conversations at locations across the municipality are part of an innovative engagement program aimed at encouraging community members to share with the City of Ballarat their priorities for the future of our City.
