Come say hello at the ‘Let's Chat Ballarat’ Community Expo

The City of Ballarat is launching a new event in 2025, designed to activate direct engagement with the community.
The Let’s Chat Ballarat Community Expo will be held next month at Civic Hall, giving community members the opportunity to engage in conversations with Councillors and staff about local services and priorities.
In a first of its kind expo, Let's Chat Ballarat is the ideal opportunity to provide in-person feedback on what the City of Ballarat does to meet the needs of our community.
The event will be held over two days on Thursday 20 March and Friday 21 March.
The expo is expected to become an annual fixture on the City of Ballarat calendar, ensuring the community is providing input to the planning for the future of the city.
It will include interactive displays and information on services, projects, programs and initiatives across the City of Ballarat, with food, kid’s entertainment, giveaways and door prizes on offer for everybody.
The Let’s Chat Ballarat Community Expo spearheads a commitment to community engagement in the new Council term.
Future engagement opportunities specific to each ward are currently being planned for the year, with further announcements to come on where and when these will be held.
City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Tracey Hargreaves said the expo would provide a valuable opportunity for residents and ratepayers to interact with the City of Ballarat and its Councillors like never before.
“We are absolutely focused on engagement as one of our top priorities and we see this as a fantastic way to get moving on that commitment,” she said.
“We see this event as just the beginning of a new era of community engagement with our residents and ratepayers.
“The expo is going to be fantastic event and I encourage as many people as possible to attend.”
The event will be held from 4pm-8pm on Thursday 20 March and 9am-1pm on Friday 21 March.
