Some City of Ballarat services are reverting to normal following restrictions caused by the recent Omicron outbreak.

The Ageing Well team is now providing its full range of support services, including assisted shopping with residents asked to wear a mask in the car.

Domestic assistance and personal care have continued throughout the outbreak, while in-home respite care has resumed for the original time of up to four hours per session.

Community care workers will continue to wear PPE indoors to ensure their own personal safety and residents’ safety.

Regional Assessment Services is now doing home assessments when possible and Social Connections activities, both indoor and outdoor, have resumed.

City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Daniel Moloney said it was fantastic to see services starting to return to normal after the Omicron outbreak.

“While our services have proved very flexible and adaptable during the pandemic, it is vital we get them back up and running as quickly as possible to provide the full range of services to our community that we do so well,” Cr Moloney said.
