City of Ballarat services over Easter Long Weekend
The following is a list of City of Ballarat services during the Easter 2021 Long Weekend
Kerbside Waste Collection and Transfer Station
Waste collection will be as per normal, so if your collection day is Good Friday or Easter Monday, that will remain.
The Gillies Street Transfer Station will be closed on Good Friday and open from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The site closes its gates at 4pm sharp, so please be aware of this and plan your trip with plenty of time.
Ballarat Libraries
All Ballarat Library branches (Central, Sebastopol and Wendouree) will be closed from Good Friday, April 2 and will reopen on Tuesday, April 6 at 10am.
Online services will be available during this time for renewing items, placing holds, searching the catalogues and borrowing eResources.

Family and Children’s Services
Parent Place will be closed closed from Good Friday, April 2 and will reopen on Tuesday, April 6 from 10am-2pm.
Maternal and Child Health Centres and Immunisation will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, otherwise all services continue as usual.
The 24 Hour MCH line for support/advice is 13 2229.
Children’s services will also be closed from Good Friday, re-opening on Tuesday, April 6.
Customer Service Offices
City of Ballarat’s offices will be closed from Good Friday, reopening Tuesday 6 April 2021 at 8.15am.
Eureka Centre
Eureka Centre is open for business, including over the Easter public holidays, offering four one hour sessions daily between 10am-5pm. Entry is currently free, but bookings are essential at www.eurekacentreballarat.com.au
Ballarat Research Hub at Eureka (including Public Record Office Victoria’s Ballarat Archives Centre) will be closed on from Good Friday, re-opening on Tuesday, 6 April.
The Art Gallery of Ballarat
The Art Gallery of Ballarat will be open every day over Easter from 10am to 1pm and then from 2pm to 5pm (an hour in the middle of the day, the gallery is closed for cleaning).
Ballarat Botanical Gardens and Robert Clark Conservatory
The Ballarat Botanical Gardens is open every day, as is the Robert Clark Conservatory from 10.00am-4.30pm.
Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre
The Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre will be closed on Good Friday only. Operating hours from Saturday, April 3 to Monday, April 5 will be from 8am-4pm before resuming normal hours on Tuesday, April 6.
Ballarat Information Centre
Will be open Good Friday through to Easter Monday from 10am-4pm before resuming normal hours on Tuesday, April 6 of 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri and 10am-4pm weekends.
