Applications open to assist the Ballarat community
Applications for the Community Impact Grant and Strategic Partnership Grant Program are opening soon.
The City of Ballarat’s Strategic Partnerships Program aims to support businesses, groups, and organisations to deliver on the strategic objectives. These partnerships are for well-established organisations that have a proven record of delivering the relevant programs, projects, or activities.
These projects can run over several years and the City of Ballarat currently has 18 partnerships in place.
The City of Ballarat’s Community Impact Grant Program has supported 24 community organisations throughout 2021 and 2022 with more than $130,000 for projects and events that enhance and benefit the Ballarat community.
Community organisations are encouraged to apply for funding in line with the City of Ballarat’s strategic plan in the areas of:
-
Environmental sustainability
-
Healthy, connected, and inclusive communities
-
Promoting community focused economic outcomes, innovation, and resilience
Applications for both grants open on 1 February 2022 and close at 5pm 28 February 2022. For more information and to apply, visit www.ballarat.vic.gov.au/communitygrants
City of Ballarat Councillor Des Hudson said the grants provide valuable support to the Ballarat community especially in the current climate.
“Supporting businesses and groups that deliver on strategic objectives is important to the City of Ballarat and we would like to add to the 18 partnerships we already have in place,” he said.
“I would urge any community group or business looking for that bit of extra support to apply.”
