Ageing Well
The Ageing Well programs are back running as usual and the social connections programs, which provide activities and opportunities to get involved in your community, be active and social with people who share similar interests are back and operational.

Libraries
Due to the current uncertainty with COVID-19 outbreaks, it may be necessary to temporarily close our libraries at short notice, or to modify our opening hours due to unavoidable staff shortages.
We understand this can be frustrating and we thank you for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times.

Programs and events: Library programs, including Storytime, have returned. Please see the library website for session times, Libraries After Dark activities and other events. Libraries After Dark operates at Sebastopol Library each Thursday until 9pm.
Library Outreach Service: Every Tuesday at Lucas Community Hub, Coltman Plaza, 10am-12pm Every Friday at Delacombe, corner Greenhalghs Road and Warrina Drive, 10am-12pm. Other locations will be released soon, please see library website for details.
Swimming Pools
Due to lifeguard staffing issues, there has been disruptions to the opening hours of swimming pools in Ballarat.
See the outdoor pools varying hours of operation during school terms.
Please note that pool operating hours may change if staffing levels are reduced again, so check the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Center or City of Ballarat Facebook pages before visiting.
Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Center is open 6am-9pm Monday to Friday, 6am-6pm Saturday and 8am-6pm Sunday.
Pool locations and opening hours
Visitor Information Centre
The Visitor Information Centre at the Town Hall is open 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Tours of the Ballarat Town Hall are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 situation. We will advise once tours return.

Vaccine Status and Face Coverings
From 11.59pm Friday, 22 April;
- Patrons won’t be required to show their vaccination status before entering any City of Ballarat venue.
- The requirement for staff and patrons of venues to check-in using the Service Victoria app will end.

Face masks will no longer be required in hospitality and retail settings, or at events of any size.

Face masks are strongly recommended when you can’t physically distance.

Facemasks will still be required for aged care and sensitive health care settings.
